Father Mark Arnzen

Biography
Father Mark was born in Cottonwood, Idaho, in 1961, the fourth of nine children. After graduating from Prairie High School, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. Following his honorable discharge, he lived in Seattle, Washington, before enrolling at Holy Names College in Oakland. There, he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy. After graduation, he spent two years teaching at Blessed Kateri Tekakwitha Academy in Thoreau, New Mexico. He later returned to the Bay Area and taught 6th grade at St. Lawrence Elementary and Middle School for six years. Father Mark then entered St. Patrick's Seminary in Menlo Park, California.
Father Mark was ordained on June 4, 2005 in the Diocese of San Jose. He has served as parochial vicar at St. Martin of Tours and Holy Spirit parishes and as pastor of St. Catherine of Alexandria, St. Lucy and currently at St. Lawrence the Martyr Parish.
Father Mark has a deep love and passion for Catholic education and seeks to greet the school families every day at morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up as well as visiting the classrooms on a regular basis. He strongly believes that every child in the parish should be able to attend Catholic school.
In his free time, Father Mark enjoys reading, taking walks, and following his favorite sports teams.

El Padre Mark nació en Cottonwood, Idaho, en 1961, siendo el cuarto de nueve hijos. Después de graduarse de Prairie High School, se enlistó en el Cuerpo de Marines de los Estados Unidos.
