Jasmine Ngo

Instructional Assistant

Biography

Jasmine was born and raised in San Jose, California. After spending two years at De Anza College, where she worked as a writing and reading tutor, she transferred to University of California, Irvine. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with a minor in Philosophy. She is currently pursuing her Master’s in Counseling Psychology at Santa Clara University to become a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). Jasmine aspires to work with individuals, couples, families, and children.

 This 2024-2025 school year, Jasmine is thrilled to join the St. Lawrence team as an Instructional Assistant. A significant part of her role involves supporting phonics and reading instruction for 1st and 2nd grade. Jasmine looks forward to engaging with the St. Lawrence community and contributing to a positive and supportive learning environment! 

Describing herself as curious, creative, and compassionate, Jasmine follows the motto: “Stay curious, not judgmental”. She believes that children need both unconditional protection and warmth, achieved through direct nurturing and healthy modeling. She approaches children’s unique differences and bids for connections with curiosity and compassion, aiming to address their underlying needs holistically. Jasmine is committed to creating a safe learning environment where students can thrive academically, emotionally, and socially.

In her free time, Jasmine enjoys quality time with her family and friends, whether it’s watching shows or movies, playing volleyball or badminton, or exploring new places to eat together. She also loves playing the piano, listening to music, cooking, and unwinding at the beach!
