Lesa Cassidy

Biography

Ms. Cassidy brings 22 years of heartfelt dedication to the realm of education, infusing every classroom with boundless passion and expertise. Her journey in teaching is profoundly shaped by her role as a parent and her unwavering commitment to nurturing young minds.

Before joining the St. Lawrence Elementary School family, Ms. Cassidy spent 12 fulfilling years as the Kindergarten teacher at St. Martin Elementary. Her transition to St. Lawrence marked yet another chapter in her mission to inspire and empower the next generation.

Prior to her educational career, Ms. Cassidy served as the assistant to the VP of Customer Service at Borland Software Corporation. There, she played a pivotal role in supporting strategic operations and elevating customer service initiatives. It was during this time that she welcomed her two children, Brittany, and Brandon. Both of her children attended catholic schools from K-12.

Originally from upstate New York, Ms. Cassidy has called Silicon Valley home for the past 25 years. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from SJSU and an early childhood development degree from the UCSC, her background as a trained historian shapes her approach to teaching, fostering a love of learning and critical thinking in her students.

Beyond the classroom, Ms. Cassidy finds joy in the companionship of her cherished dog, Rally, and the time shared with her children, Brittany and Brandon.  She also enjoys reading captivating books.

La Sra. Cassidy aporta 22 años de dedicación sincera al ámbito de la educación, impregnando cada aula con una pasión y experiencia inigualables. Su trayectoria como docente está profundamente influenciada por su rol como madre y su firme compromiso con el desarrollo de las mentes jóvenes.

Antes de unirse a la familia de St. Lawrence Elementary School, la Sra. Cassidy dedicó 12 años gratificantes como maestra de kínder en St. Martin Elementary. Su transición a St. Lawrence marcó otro capítulo en su misión de inspirar y empoderar a la próxima generación.

Antes de su carrera en educación, la Sra. Cassidy trabajó como asistente del vicepresidente de Servicio al Cliente en Borland Software Corporation. Allí, desempeñó un papel fundamental apoyando las operaciones estratégicas y mejorando las iniciativas de servicio al cliente. Fue durante este tiempo que dio la bienvenida a sus dos hijos, Brittany y Brandon, quienes asistieron a escuelas católicas desde kínder hasta el grado 12.

Originaria del norte del estado de Nueva York, la Sra. Cassidy ha llamado hogar al Valle del Silicio durante los últimos 25 años. Posee una Licenciatura en Historia de la Universidad Estatal de San José (SJSU) y un título en Desarrollo Infantil Temprano de la Universidad de California en Santa Cruz (UCSC). Su formación como historiadora influye en su enfoque de enseñanza, fomentando el amor por el aprendizaje y el pensamiento crítico en sus estudiantes.

Fuera del aula, la Sra. Cassidy encuentra alegría en la compañía de su querido perro, Rally, y en los momentos compartidos con sus hijos, Brittany y Brandon. También disfruta leer libros cautivadores.
